The SEP X 1001 Stories collaboration
Posted on September 20 2019
1001 Stories footwear is a new brand, launching this September 2019. At SEP we are proud to be part of their first "Hero" Collection!
For SEP collaborating with a shoe brand was a natural choice. This way we can appeal to new audiences with the same promise of quality and impact, as the two brands have complimenting creative visions and mutual goals.
1001 Stories co-founders Shahrzad Moaven and Tereza Pigova met whilst completing a footwear design course at the London College of Fashion. They were instantly drawn to each other’s vision of crafting a product that delights in design and fulfills in purpose. The brand has a simple and clear mission to create beautiful statement shoes and support skilled women out of poverty and into business.
The co-founders fell in love with the craftsmanship created by the SEP artists. ‘For our first “Hero” collection we wanted to work with a reputable and established organisation that supports women in marginalised communities’ said co-founder Tereza Pigova.
Their shoe design is comfortable, versatile, practical and fashionable – Made in Italy ballet flats, which are perfect for fall, spring, and summer. They are great alternatives to high heels, especially in ankle-hurt days. The footwear designs can go with both casual and formal outfits and are never out of fashion. The memory foam leather insole is a real treat.
These designs are completed with colorful SEP ribbons with hand-made embroidery. The women who have made those designs are true heroes; they are hard working and determined to lift their whole communities out of poverty.
Both brands are intrigued by the opportunity to collaborate on a beautiful fashion statement that is a cultural heritage, and a powerful stand for modern day heroes. With every step you take in these shoes you are making a difference.
