Social Impact...the SEP way!
Posted on August 28 2017
SEP Jordan is more than a lifestyle label: we are a community within the community, bringing about a message of equality, opportunities, hope and pride in Jerash Camp.
Today and tomorrow, thanks to the amazing Shoman Foundation's Knowledge Path, almost 50 boys and girls from Jerash camp get to have fun, learning how to make the most of books and newspaper reading, at the camp, at the SEP-Tamari Academy.
Children aged 6 to 11 have fun reading books and then creating story-boards and bookmarks: creativity, recycling, painting, colouring as inspired by the book story.
Children aged 12 to 15 are working on newspaper-based story boards, read books and create beautiful bookmarks too: teamwork, sharing, discovering one's artistic talent.
The SEP-Tamari Academy library in Jerash Camp features over 400 books, mainly in Arabic, for all ages and across all genres. Collaboration such as this one, born from the vision of SEP's Social Impact Activities Manager Duah Syam, ensure the SEP and all camp kids will make the most of this incredible resource.
Thank you Duah, Thank you Shoman Foundation Team!
