SEP Talks X International Geneva
Posted on March 03 2025
The unprecedented funding crisis caused by institutional budget cuts in Europe, Switzerland, and the US funding freeze are putting millions of lives at risk in the coming weeks: the way philanthropy, civil society and NGOs and International Organisations respond today will shape the future of humanitarian action.
As a Social Enteprise, i.e. a hybrid between the humanitarian and the private sector, we feel an urgency to get involved in these extremely sensitive times.
With the precious help of Stephanie Simpson from Terre des Hommes and Joëline Studer from Medair, we have curated for you a series of private, non-political gatherings in our Geneva boutique (Confederation Centre) that will bring together leaders from the humanitarian sector to exchange ideas and engage in open conversations on the changes currently shaping International Geneva and the whole world.
On the opening evening on Thursday, March 6th, we have the honour of welcoming Mr Marc Lassaoui, Senior Manger Outreach Europe at UNRWA, who will share his update on UNRWA’s challenges and operations as well as his analysis of current challenges and ways to address them.
The lineup of speakers is truly impressive: all the names you see below are confirmed, and we might add 1 or 2 more representatives of important institutions to the existing dates, as we try to accomodate everyone's needs.
We hope you will choose to attend all 8 events, as each conversation will build on the next to inspire bold, collective action.
Looking forward to seeing you there and shaping this vital dialogue together.
With gratitude,
Roberta, Stefano, Stephanie, Joëline & Team SEP
